President Trump to send federal help to Chicago to curb shooting epidemic

President Donald Trump said Friday that he is sending in Federal help to the state of Chicago to curb the skyrocketing rate of crime and killings. Friday.

The president wrote; “Crime and killings in Chicago have reached such epidemic proportions that I am sending in Federal help. 1714 shootings in Chicago this year!”

President Trump has often tweeted and spoken at rallies about violence in Chicago and has constantly threatened to send in federal authorities. Shortly after he assumed office, President Trump tweeted “If Chicago doesn’t fix the horrible ‘carnage’ going on, 228 shootings in 2017 with 42 killings (up 24% from 2016), I will send in the Feds!”.
