Public disgrace: Gov. Ajimobi sacks 3 commissioners for ineffectiveness

by Isi Esene

Governor Abiola Ajimobi yesterday sacked three commissioners from his cabinet for their “ineffectiveness”. The dropped commissioners are Yunus Akintunde (Works and Transport); Bosun Oladele (Information and Orientation) and Kazeem Adedeji (Trade, Investment and Cooperatives).

The sack was announced by the secretary to the state government, Waheed Olajide, after the state executive council meeting in Ibadan. Olajide also announced the swapping of other commissioners.

According to the SSG the commissioner for agriculture and rural development, Bimbo Kolade, was moved to the ministry of lands, while the commissioner for lands, Ajiboye Omodewu, took over the ministry of local government and chieftaincy affairs.

Peter Odetomi of the ministry of local government and chieftaincy affairs is now commissioner for agriculture and rural development, while Lowo Obisesan of the ministry of establishment and training, swapped  position with the environment commissioner, Wasiu Dauda.

Olajide said the reshuffle was necessary to enhance effectiveness and efficiency in line with the repositioning agenda of the Abiola Ajimobi administration.
