Little Aisha Ali was doted-on by her 25-year-old uncle but it just so happened that he was a pervert seeking to defile her.
The uncle was alleged to have raped the four- year-old toddler to death when he visited her parents last weekend.
The incident took place in Nongvan village, Timdore District in Ganye Local Government Area of Adamawa state.
The accused, who is a nephew to the father of the girl, during the weekend visit, was said to have taken custody of the toddler while the mother was taking care of some domestic chores.
The incident was confirmed by the Adamawa State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Othman Abubakar.
Abubakar said the suspect, simply called Nenekenso, is being held at the Criminal Investigation Department of the command.
