“See my pockets – no money!”: Amaechi throws it down at the APC rally in Bayelsa

by Isi Esene

Just as President Goodluck Jonathan was throwing it down in Lagos at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) rally which took place at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Rivers Governor Rotimi Amaechi moments ago did the same thing in Bayelsa, the President’s home state.

In his speech at the APC rally to present the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Muhammadu Buhari to the people of Bayelsa, Amaechi who spoke before a capacity crowd, criticized President Jonathan for not making a difference in the lives of Bayelsan saying he should be voted out.

According to him, “The last election, we did it for our brother, now we will vote for merit. Let our brother tell us what he has done.

After a thunderous applause at his statement, Amaechi switched into funny mode opening up the content of his pockets and saying: “See my pockets – no money!”

“Everyday I dey slim like person wey get HIV, I no get HIV, na poverty.”

We doubt if ace comedian Basketmouth, can come up with a statement as bombastic as that. It’s political season, we expect even more.

Go Amaechi!
