We smell trouble as NURTW chief gets killed in Lagos

The Chairman, National Union of Road Transport Workers, Yaba Unit, Babajide Dosunmu, a.k.a Mados, has been killed by some yet-to-be identified gunmen.

46-year-old Mados, who was also said to be the Vice Chairman, Lagos Mainland branch of the NURTW, was reportedly shot dead at the back of his house by the assailants while parking his car.

According to Punch, the incident happened shortly after the deceased returned from his office on Cemetery Street.

The gunmen, it was gathered, had trailed him from the office and shot in the leg when he attempted to run for his life.

Not done, the gang allegedly shot him in the buttock, while another bullet pierced his heart region, leaving him in a pool of blood.

Mados was rushed to a nearby hospital, but was declared dead on arrival.
