Sokoto: Judges, magistrates go to court on motorcycles – Governor

Governor of Sokoto state, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has lamented the condition of the States’ Magistrates and Area Court Judge, who he claims use commercial motorcycles while going to court.

Speaking on Monday at the 2017 Law Week, where he announced the state government’s decision to give car loans to their lordships.

“I remember when I was practicing my profession, I and my learned friends always lamented over the plight of our magistrates and area Court Judges because they are always seen coming to the court on Okada.

“We have resolved to give them car loan to end their suffering,” Tambuwal said.

Tambuwal added that two additional Local government election tribunal and Rent Tribunals would be established in the state.
