‘Someone hacked my email and is leaking songs,’ Tiwa Savage announces

by Sola Fasasi

Talented singer Tiwa Savage, who is popular for her soulful voice and catchy tracks like ‘Love Me’ and ‘Kele Kele Love’ has recently been the victim of a vicious audio leak. Just a few moments ago, she announced with dismay on Twitter that her songs which have been circulating the internet lately, are in fact leaks by someone who hacked into her email.

“I am so sad, she tweeted from her official handle @TiwaSavage. Someone hacked my email and is leaking songs from my album. Pls do not spread these songs. They r from my album.”

Obviously distraught, and attempting to reply a tweeter who gave a cynical response to her message, Tiwa said “wow people can be very mean sha. God dey o. No wahala.”

Below is a screenshot of her timeline:

She continued, asking that her songs be removed from online media: “Pls can all the blogs take down these songs. They r not official singles. I always announce when I am about to drop a new song. God bless u. Btw songs were in my email because my engineer sends to me to listen for approval on mixes when I am in naija and not in the studio.”

A YNaija correspondent was able to talk to Tiwa, who disclosed that an official statement on this matter could be gotten from her publicist. YNaija has not been able to speak with the publicist yet on the issue, but will update this story shortly as we get full details.
