Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara on Friday visited President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

This is Dogara’s second visit to the President after the allegations of budget padding leveled against him by former chairman of the House Committee on Appropriations, Abdulmumin Jibrin.

When questioned by State House Correspondents on the reason behind the visit, Dogara said, “I am on holiday”.

When further asked if his visit was aimed at mending fences with the President, the Speaker pointed to one of the lawmakers that accompanied him and said, “This man is a Senator from Bauchi State. He is not from the House of Representatives.”
