We get some style tips and secrets from the face behind the voice of the energetic and humorous Wazobia FM on-air personality!

What is style to you?

Style is been simple, beautiful and anything that suits your body type. It doesn’t have to be something extremely expensive, it should be something made personal by you.

Who is your favourite designer?

For now I don’t know, I have so many people I love. I like Valentino, which you can get in the stores. For Nigerian designers I love to wear Deola Sagoe’s jeans. They’re fabulous and body fitting.

Do you have a stylist?

No I don’t. I pick my own articles myself, because I understand my body type even up to my face. Even if I question certain designs or pattern, all I have to do is Google my body type. I’m athletic, so I would have ideas of what to wear. If it’s about hair styles I know have a square shaped face, so I know exactly what would fit me.

How long does it take you to get ready for an event?

I’m a very fast dresser. I know how to pick and arrange things mentally. I can get ready in a maximum of 20mins.

How do you rate the Nigerian fashion industry?

Fantastic. They are evolving, and I’m loving people like Tiffany Amber, and Jewel by Lisa for embellishments. I have one of her jackets.  Most of them are doing so well, even the unknown ones, like DMG who knows how to work well with silk.

What is the favorite fashion item in your wardrobe?

It has to be my wrist watches. I own over 20. I might dress really simple, but my wrist watch has to be something that really catches the eyes.

What is it about your style that makes you stand out?

I’m very simple. Nigerians have this habit of wearing too much jewelry, but for me, growing up amidst a lot of stylish people I got to know that less is more.

What is your beauty secret?

I love spas. I take my time, go for massages. I do facials about every two days, because our cells regenerate themselves every two days.

What is your favorite perfume?

I’m wearing it. It’s actually a Thierry Mugler.

What is the biggest beauty mistake you ever made?

Shaving my eye brows, and till today it’s still haunting me. I’ve not been able to grow them back.

What is the best trick you’ve learnt from a make-up artist?

How to work wonders with my lashes, with very peculiar mascaras. When you use the right mascara, you won’t need any false eye lashes. You can give it two or three coats for real dramatic effect and it would look like your wearing extensions.
