Sage Stallone, Sylvester Stallone’s son has been found dead in his Hollywood home in Los Angeles, California.

Sage Moonblood Stallone was the oldest of Stallone’s children and co-starred with his father in two films. He was the first of two sons Stallone had with first wife Sasha Czack.

His father, Sylvester is said to be distraught by the sad news. He is said to be in San Diego where he is promoting his movie, The Expendables 2.

What killed the 36 year old young actor is still not clear, but according to TMZ sources, there are indications he must have died of pills overdose. Coroners are said to be investigating if the overdose was intentional or accidental.

Sylvester Stallone’s spokesman, Michelle Bega said in a statement on his behalf that “He is devastated and grief-stricken over the sudden loss of his son, Sage Stallone… His loss will be felt forever.”

“His compassion and thoughts are with Sage’s mother, Sasha,” the statement continued.

The deceased’s attorney said he was not known to be depressed.

Attorney George Braunstein, who has been his lawyer for about 15 years, said: “I got a terrible call a few hours ago when the housekeeper opened the door and they found what had happened.

“He was an extremely good actor, a good writer/director, really one of those people who was extremely respectful of Hollywood. He loved his mom and dad. He was a talented, talented person.”

The Los Angeles Coroner’s Office has however refused to give details of its investigation into the death, explaining that investigations are at preliminary stages. The Los Angeles Police Department toes the same line as the Coroner’s Office but however confirmed work on “a death investigation”.
