An international sports writer, Alexander Wolff who is currently covering the Rio Olympics has inferred that Team Nigeria wore tracksuits to the opening ceremony of the games because the official outfit didn’t make it to Brazil on time.
He tweeted this during the opening ceremony on Friday night and wrote; “Nigeria, marching in sweats because official outfits didn’t make it to Rio. Can we agree that they’re a country to pull for these two weeks?”

The Olympic football team also arrived Brazil late after provisions for an aircraft to lift them from Atlanta were not made.
