#TFAA2016: 5 things you should know about tonight’s event

The most anticipated event in Africa holds on Sunday in Lagos, Nigeria.

The Future Awards Africa 2016, which recognises the achievement of young Africans, aged 18-32 will feature a whole lot of activities.

Here are five things to know about today’s event:

1. Over 50 media houses will be covering the event including CNN

This year’s award will receive a wide coverage across the world, as reputable local and international media houses will be on hand to make it a worthwhile event.

2. 2 surprise performances by superstar artistes – it will blow your mind

Brace yourself as two top class artistes grace the stage with scintillating performances that would absolutely keep you on the edge of your seats.

3. Keynote speech will be delivered by Ghana President-elect, Nana Akufo-Addo

The keynote speech which has been delivered in past editions from the likes of Dr. Okonjo-Iweala, former Coordinating Minster of the Economy and former Vice President of the World Bank, Obiageli Ezekwesili, will this year be delivered by President-elect of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo.

4. We will be witnessing an unannounced speech/charge by a surprise guest – wait for it

As awards go, there are definitely going to be moments of surprises. And in this year’s edition – we have at least one for you. And it would definitely blow your mind.

5. Linda Ikeji and Toke Makinwa are presenting an award together

Yes, you heard it here first. Two of Africa’s most influential media celebrities, Linda Ikeji and Toke Makinwa will be presenting an award together at this year’s edition.
