Little miracles do happen.

When her heavily pregnant mom Centerria Manning suffered a serious epileptic seizure last week, 4-year-old Calise Manning calmly called 911 and requested medical help. “She’s shaking and she’s having a baby,” she told the dispatcher, adding, “My mom is really pregnant and she’s having a boy and she really needs help.”

In another excerpt from the call released to Michigan TV station WVMT, the dispatcher asks Calise her age. “Four,” Calise replies, “and I’m almost getting bigger.” You’d stop for a minute and say, “Ugh, this girl is the cutest,” were the situation not so serious. (The dispatcher told WVMT she’s since recommended Calise receive an award for “being [so] calm” under pressure.) Centerria was taken to hospital where she made a full recovery and later gave birth to a baby boy; Calise says she loves her baby brother already:

In an interview with CNN, Centerria explained she’d taught Calise how to call 911 and what to do during the call in case of a seizure, and that she’s “so proud” of her daughter for remembering it all and behaving so perfectly in an emergency — you know, saving her life, even. She also said Calise told her, “I told you I was going to take care of you if something happened.”

Calise added, “It was really good to ride in an ambulance.”
