News flash: We are still light years away from the end of racism, never mind the Emancipation Proclamation of 1863 and all the progress that has been made in the years following. If police brutality (which birthed the Black Lives Matter movement) isn’t occuring daily, then popular myths like the one in the thread below serve to reinforce divisiveness and hatred against people of colour.
