We do not know whether to laugh or cry at the pictures flooding the Nigerian internet today, clearly depicting Lagos state’s number 1 problem: bad or unexistent drainages. Oh well, so long as the rains continue, it will be our number 1 problem. Then Dry Season/Harmattan will come calling and whisk it away from our ‘must-do list’ and memories until the next rains.
We’re groaning along with everyone who paid ridiculous sums to be submerged so. Pele. They did warn you it’s an island.
For those who cannot wait to move to the island (as per Lekki big gals and boys), you might want to rethink that move.
Governor Ambode, our dear governor, consider this a memo to be attended to yesterday.

Just living up to its name
Lagos living up to its name “Eko aromi sa lengbe lengbe”, meaning a land with abundance of water too much for its inhabitants to behold.. https://t.co/poiHQY3caB
