This picture of Lady Justice has Nigerians on Twitter laughing with reckless abandon. The Lady Justice is a symbol of moral force in judicial quarters. Her attributes are a blindfold, a balance, and a sword. The blindfold stands for impartiality, the scales are to measure the strengths of the parties’ case and the sword represents authority.
Here in this picture, Lady Justice has all these features save for one thing: she is falling down and has to be propped up with a stick, of all things.
Is this not an accurate representation of Justice in our beloved country- comatose and on life support? Twitter NG definitely thinks so.
