Recently, Twitter chewed Google up with relish and spat it out for good effect after the company fired a staff for writing a memo that argued that biologically, women are less suited for certain tech jobs.
CEO of Google, Sundar Pichai, who had been in Lagos in the past week, said the Damore was fired because the memo “violates our code of conduct and crosses the line by advancing harmful gender stereotypes”. James Damore has also revealed he will be pursuing legal action against Google.
Twitter quickly carved up into groups: those for and those against Google’s decision. It was a virtual bloodfest.

He had it coming
Finished up reading the #GoogleManifesto yesterday and fam, if nothing else my man can eloquently write pure, unadulterated bullshit.

Google Manifesto TL;DR:
"I can't say bad things?"
"Diversity makes me ?"
"Women biologically dumb."
"Conservatives true minority ?"— X (@XLNB) August 8, 2017
People. Google HAD to fire this guy. The minute he pressed "SEND" on that memo, he basically fired himself.
— ST. (@seyitaylor) August 8, 2017
This isn't even disagreement or agreement. He basically tied their hands. If they kept him, they'd have opened themselves to lawsuits

Google is Wrong! Wrong! Wrong!
This is the conclusion of the so-called "anti-diversity" memo that got James Damore fired from Google. pic.twitter.com/AWUIneJCYX

James Damore did nothing wrong. #GoogleManifesto#ConfessYourUnpopularOpinion
— Ian Miles Cheong (@stillgray) August 8, 2017
I can see why @Google wanted James Damore fired. It's embarrassing when dirty laundry is aired. #GoogleManifesto pic.twitter.com/Wi24jZLdyZ

The left is at war with reality. James Damore told the truth. For that he was witch hunted, doxxed & fired.#JeSuisJamesDamore

I hope you see how the google firing is deeply problematic.

And the reason you pretend to hold on to opinions you know make no sense is because you're afraid of that happening to you. Snap out of it.

Dear @Google,
Stop teaching my girl that her path to financial freedom lies not in coding but in complaining to HR.
Thx in advance,
A dad

That Googler shouldn't have been fired. He should have been debated with information like this instead. Counter speech with speech. https://t.co/Yz4Mz9ZqrO

So, I just read the #GoogleManifesto , and I am shocked that people think this document is sexist.

Discussion class
The reason I would agree with firing Damore is that he should have gone straight to HR or Google's Head of Diversity with that memo.
— The Runner (@je_mc2) August 8, 2017
Another thing that research shows – the number one way people change their minds is through interaction. Not arguments or debates
— tyro (@DoubleEph) August 8, 2017
Sadly, this is tougher than it looks as we are physically and virtually being segregated into like minded communities

Reality check
#GoogleManifesto reactions should dispel any notion that progressives are any more rational or fact-based than the trumpiest of Trumplings.
— Cathy Young (@CathyYoung63) August 8, 2017
I've noticed that many progressives who parrot what the flock is saying simply do so out of fear for their own jobs. Maybe stop doing that.

It's not Trump, but Google, who's ushering in 1984. #GoogleManifesto

Never listen to emotional appeals. They sound nice, but they make little sense. They're a form of manipulation, not sound arguments.

In the end
Read the #GoogleManifesto and I don't see what the big deal was. Google vindicated him completely by firing him. #GoogleGate
