TICKER: iMove: Apple to release new iPad Mini with a tiny 7 inch screen

Apple is planning to release a smaller version of the iPad to be called the iPad Mini.  According to the Apple blog site Macotakara, a source from Asia says that the new device is going to have a screen that is just 7.85 inches in width.

The product is expected to go on sale in October, according to AllThingsD.  Tech analyst John Paczkowski says that Apple is going to have two product launches to push their commodity into the hands of consumers.

This is not the only exciting news to come out of Apple.  The company is expected to soon release its new iPhone 5 on September 12.   The product is going to go on sale on September 21 and the new iPad is coming out the following month.

Apple is flying high as of late. The company just won a billion dollar verdict against rival Samsung and it was also named the most valuable corporation in American history.

The iPad Mini has been referred to by tech blog ZDNet.com as the “thermonuclear device that could destroy Android.”  The late Steve Jobs said that he hated Google’s Android Operating System and wanted to destroy it.  Perhaps he will get his wish.
