The Arkansas Republican who is well known for his strong opinion that all Muslims should be deported and that rebellious children should be executed has one more strong opinion; the state of Arkansas should sterilize negligent parents.

Charlie Fuqua, a former state Rep., has his eyes on the state House this year. In his new book, “God’s Law,” Fuqua makes it clear that he believes that if parents don’t support their children or have legally been stripped of their parental rights, they should not be allowed to have more children. According to the Arkansas Times, in his book, Fuqua also says that Muslims should be deported and there should be a child death penalty.

We must require all parents to support their children. Any parent that does not support his or her children should be sterilized so that they cannot produce more children that they do not support. Any parent that has his or her parental rights terminated by a court because they have abused or neglected their children should be sterilized …

 

Fuqua has stood by his views about Muslims being deported,saying, “I think my views are fairly well-accepted by most people.”

In the 1990s, Fuqua was awarded the “Friend of the Family” award by Arkansas Christian Coalition. He wrote about the child death penalty, saying that parents ought to be able to tell a judge to kill a “rebellious child.” He went on to explain that he did not believe that many parents would actually exercise that right but believed that it would be a good deterrent against rebellion in children. He also asserted that he could back his claims up with the Bible.
