Ondo state governor, Olusegun Mimiko has said that President Goodluck Jonathan will get the South-West votes at the presidential election of February 2015.

On Tuesday, December 16, Mimiko stated that even if the All Progressive Congress (APC) fields a yoruba as Muhammadu Buhari’s running, President Goodluck Jonathan will sweep the votes of the South West.
He said this while speaking at the Presidential Villa where Jonathan launched the Youth Employment in Agriculture Programme (YEAP) and the Find for Agricultural Finance in Nigeria (FAFIN).

According to Mimiko, Southwest voters are politically enlightened to cast their votes based on issues and not on ethnic considerations.

According to him, the decision of APC to elect Buhari as its standard bearer is a fatal error.
