Trump tweets: Congress wouldn’t “dare” leave without healthcare bill

President Trump on Monday pushed back on Congress to pass a “beautiful” health care bill before the lawmakers head home for the August recess.

Trump wrote; “I cannot imagine that Congress would dare to leave Washington without a beautiful new HealthCare bill fully approved and ready to go!”

After the fourth of July recess, Lawmakers return to Capitol Hill this week, but they’re still not close to a bill to repeal and replace Obamacare. The healthcare bill has been placed on hold in recent weeks, with some senators floating possible exit strategies in case there can’t be a feasible agreement on the bill, including repealing the law without a replacement plan laid out.

Sen. John McCain told “Face the Nation” during the weekend that the bill is “probably going to be dead”. On Sunday, White House chief of staff Reince Priebus told “Fox News Sunday” that such a result would not be acceptable.
