Success does not only have many friends, it also finds new relatives. There are quite a few tweeters who attach the suffix ‘MoHits’ to their handles. But Tega Oghenejobo indeed has every right to, as he is cousin to the label owner, Don Jazzy and promoter with the wave making label. Not one to be hidden in his revered cousin’s shadow, he is also an upcoming interior designer with Optics Concept Nigeria, which he owns.
Tega opened up to us on his experience on the social networking site.
How did you get on twitter?
Getting on twitter was quite easy but staying on it was a problem. I had the account but never used it until my friend, @eneni gave me a few tips about twitter.
Who would you say is your favourite tweep?
I really wish I had one. I am very cool with a lot of people. I enjoy the blogs I’m following a lot too.
Is there any particular tweet you’ll never forget? Tell us about it.
Yeah. Few dramatic tweets I see on my timeline. I can’t seem to remember any one now.
Have you had any embarrassing/memorable experience on twitter? If yes, what happened?
Fortunately, I have had none.
What are the downsides of being on twitter?
I used to be an addict before, and because of that, I left a lot of things pending. To enjoy twitter you need time and it has been very expensive lately.
What are the upsides?
There are a lot of upsides. It is very informative, good for networking and meeting some really nice people.
Has twitter gotten you more fans/friends?
Fans ? Lol! I am just the dude next door but friends? Yes! I have met a lot of nice people off twitter.
Many tweeps say you have a controversial persona on twitter. Is this true?
Controversial? I don’t think so. I’m just ME.
Describe your twitter persona in three words.
An interesting guy.
Do you follow back readily? Why?
I don’t follow back readily for reasons best known to me 😀
What would possibly make you close your twitter account?
I can’t think of anything now. It’s a quality social tool.
