While the Nigerian Army engages the Boko Haram insurgents in coordinated land and air operations, a curfew has been imposed on Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state.
The Nigeria’s Defence Headquarters has tweeted an update on ongoing operation around Maiduguri and Mongunu.
The tweet said: “Troops are repelling a simultaneous attack on Monguno and Maiduguri by terrorists,” and another one added: “Coordinated Air and Land OPs being conducted now.”
