Actress, writer, producer, and Y! Magazine cover girl Funke Akindele talks candidly in this new interview with TelAfric TV about various things ranging from her acting career to marriage plans.
“No no no no,” she said, when asked if she’d ever regretted not practicing law. “I’ve always wanted to be an actress, I’ve always wanted to be in show business. My dad wanted me to study law. I studied law because of my father. I never wanted to be a lawyer but I thank God I did because it reflects a lot in my work now”.
She also reveals that she only played the role of “Jenifa” in the eponymous movie because she had been dissatisfied with all those who auditioned for the role. “Till they called action, I didn’t know I was going to break it down like that” she says, of her accent and speech in the movie.
