The Defence Headquarters has announced that the military has so far recovered only one body from the site of the crashed Nigerian Air Force helicopter close to Bama in Borno state.
An Air Force Mi-35 helicopter which was on a training mission last Monday had gone down die to a technical fault, just south of Bama. There were three crew members; two pilots and one technician on board when the incident happened. One of the pilots died during the crash while the other survived and has since been taken to hospital.
The technician though, has been declared Missing In Action, and an Air Force rescue team is still searching the vicinity of the scene of the accident for his body.
