It was a sight for sore eyes at the Port Harcourt airport on October 24, 2013 after passengers were told Arik Air officials had over sold their tickets to Lagos for that particular flight making them in excess of passengers.

Not wanting to be left behind, passengers literally fought their way through the barriers to board on time.

According to Nigerian Eye, a passenger filmed the whole experience in shock at how bad things could get. “I was rather surprised at the service rendered by Arik Air Nigeria. We the passengers where left stranded on the tarmac and to be honest, I was really baffled and amazed at the level of poor communication within Arik Air,” the eye witness said.

“Although it was not a safe environment, the ground staff were forced to handle things by themselves, and also had to make decisions without support and steer from the management who I would have assumed would know how to advice the Arik employees on the ground.”
