Boxing lovers have been itching to see Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jnr get into the ring together. But it is always looking so close, yet it appears really far.
The American has come out to dismiss reports, that claimed he has signed a deal to face Pacquiao in Las Vegas on May 2.
Mayweather was responding to questions during a short interview, at the Madison Square Garden on Sunday, where he watched the NBA All-Star Game.
“That’s not true,” he said when asked about Pacquiao having signed his part of the contract.
“I haven’t signed yet and he hasn’t signed yet.
“It’s just been speculation and rumours, but hopefully we can make the fight happen.”
Over the weekend, Pacquiao made it clear that Mayweather would be the one to announce the fight, after all the contracts are sorted.
We continue to wait for this £200m mega-fight.
