Ever since Omawumi Megbele chucked a career in law for music years ago, the singer has moved from one level of success to another. Emerging as 1st runner-up at the first edition of premier singing competition Idols West Africa, she dropped her debut album ‘Wonder Woman’ in 2009 and has won plaudits and awards along the way. At the start of 2011, Omawunmi hit us with ‘If You Ask Me’, the first single off her yet-to-be named sophomore album. The Cobhams Asuquo produced single was followed by a stunning Clarence Peters directed video. Now she’s released a new single ‘I Go Go’- a reggae infused track in which Omawumi sings of unrequited love in pidgin English on a subtle reggae beat that once again shows off her show her vast vocal range.
