Emeka Ike claims presidency of Actors Guild of Nigeria

Nolloywood actor, Emeka Ike says he’s the new president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) thanks to an alleged Federal court ruling last Thursday.

Emeka Ike made this known when he led AGN members on a courtesy visit to the Sun newspapers headquarters on Monday.

According to Ike, a Federal High Court siting in Lagos ruled against Ibinabo Fiberisima’s presidency.

He said: “We as a team have been consistent in going to court, applying the rule of law. We have gotten judgment severally. We clapped for the justice system for giving our mandate to us. We didn’t use the police. We tried to apply democracy and justice system and we are happy that it turned out very well.”

He added: “We believe that we don’t have to go the way of cultism. We went the gentleman way. The taste of justice is sweeter than satisfaction of violence perpetrated. It might take a little long for you to achieve justice. They tried to make the Nigerian law system a laughing matter. But at the end of the day, we had justice.” He stated.

Emeka Ike has, for the past few years, been involved in a leadership tussle with the actress who is facing a 5 year-jail sentence for a hit and run accident in 2006.

Wizkid performs in Senegal

Wizkid performed at the Au De La Monument Renaissance in Senegal on Tuesday night.

The Baba Nla singer was highly overwhelmed by the massive crowd at the venue and he shared on Instagram, a video clip from his performance.

The track was recorded when the ‘Ambition’ rapper visited the country in late January.
