The Nigerian Navy said it has seized three boats laden with 47,000 litres of illegally refined diesel.

This was revealed by the Commander in the Navy, Commodore Saidu Garba in Ikot Abasi, Akwa Ibom state.

Garba said ver 47,000 litres of liquid suspected to be AGO, three wooden boats, 113 drums of 250 litres of AGO and 188 empty drums were recovered.

He said the suspect were arrested at the Ibeno creeks, following a tip-off.
