A teacher in Bauchi state has been arrested for allegedly raping a 6-year-old girl.
The state’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Haruna Mohammed, who disclosed this on Sunday, said that the accused, Habibu Abdullahi, gain access to the victim’s home on the basis of being her former school teacher.
The DSP who stated that the suspect will be arraigned in court, also revealed that he pleaded guilty and had confessed raping the victim twice.
Earlier this year, an assistant principal in a Bauchi school, was arrested for sexually harassing his pupil in an office after school hours.
