Yemi Kale re-appointed as Statistician General of the Federation

Dr. Yemi Kale, the former Statistician General of the Federation has been appointed for the same position by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Kale had served from 2011 in his first tenure and has now been appointed for the second time.

The statistician and economist had previously served as Special Adviser to the Nigerian Minister of Finance and Minister of National Planning.

Kale graduated with first-class honours degree in Economics, from Addis Ababa University and holds a Master of Science degree and a PhD in Economics.

Kale worked as an equity analyst Goldman Sachs, a global finance company for 18 years.

He was also the head of research and investment strategy at what is now Stanbic IBTC Bank.

He is a member of the World Economics Association, UK Royal Economic Society, and a fellow of the UK Royal Statistical Society.
