YNaija’s 12 days of Christmas : The UNILAG whiz kid

In a lot of ways, 2016 has been a very stressful year. Hopefully, it hasn’t been as stressful for you as it has been for our dear nation, Nigeria.

Still, there is a lot to be thankful for. And so, in our special version of ’12 days of Christmas’, we’ll remind you – with the Good News only – of the reasons why things have not all been bad so far.

Without further ado:

On the second day of Christmas

2016 sent to us:

Ayodele Dada

The Number 1 best female football team in Africa;

Ayodele Dada!

On the 29th of February 2016, the University of Lagos proudly graduated Ayodele, a Psychology student who had managed to score the maximum 5.0 Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA).

It was not only a huge success for Ayodele himself, the University, through this young man’s  brilliance also set a new record for itself.

In a country where, strike actions are synonymous with education, Ayodele will forever remain good news.

After his graduation, Ayodele received a lot of recognition for his dedication from all and sundry including the University who immediately offered him a lecturing job and the telecommunications giant, MTN. MTN awarded him with the latest Samsung phone, his own personalized phone number and airtime for 2016.

The House of Representatives, moved by a motion brought by Honourable Femi Gbajabiamila’s also rewarded the star with a standing ovation on the floor of the House.
