APC not nervous over Supreme Court ruling – Odigie-Oyegun

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) John Odigie-Oyegun, has said that the party is not nervous or bothered about the Supreme Court’s ruling which favored the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s governorship candidates in Akwa Ibom and Rivers states.

Oyegun, on his way to Cross River to receive defectors from PDP and Labour Party to APC, while responding to questions at the Margaret Ekpo International Airport in Calabar, said the party was not worried.

He stated that contrary to insinuations that the party is finding it difficult to accept the Supreme court ruling, the party only desired to know what informed the judgement, noting that the outcry over the ruling so far has been that of its individual members and not the party.

“The APC is not finding it difficult to accept the verdict of the Supreme Court, all we are after is to know why the ruling in the first place. No one can question the decision of the Apex Court.”

He described the new entrants as ‘high caliber’ personalities, adding that their presence would usher in the desired change in the politics of Cross River State.
