The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has said that it is only investigating the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) in the aviation sector and not the entire sector.
This was disclosed in an interview by the EFCC spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren in Lagos on Saturday.
He confirmed that the Managing Director of NAMA, Ibrahim Abdulsalam, and some other top officials of the agency are all being interrogated by the commission over alleged financial impropriety and.

“It is not about the aviation industry; if any agency or person has issues, that is when the commission comes in.
“It is a specific matter, but I can’t go into details now because we are still carrying out investigation,” he said.
According to Leadership, a source revealed that Abdulsalam and the two other directors were arrested on Friday night after over eight hours of interrogation by an EFCC team of investigators.
The source added that heavily armed operatives had stormed NAMA headquarters and its annex office at the Murtala Mohammed Airport in Lagos around 11.55 am
“For several hours, the operatives detained staffers of the agency and kept them incommunicado until the search was over.”
