The BBC has just commissioned a new TV comedy based on UK politician, Nigel Farage’s life after politics. The one off show has been named Nigel Farage Gets His Life Back as a direct reference to Farage’s resignation speech that he made in July this year following the Brexit vote to leave the European Union.
Kevin Bishop, the British actor who will be playing Nigel in the show has described his muse as “a gift to parody” and so we’ve compiled a list of Nigerian politicians whose lives are as colourful or even more colourful than the former UKIP leader’s
Enjoy.
Olusegun Obasanjo
Of course he’s topping this list. Apart from the fact that Denrele just posted on his Instagram claiming OBJ tried dabbing, there are so many public moments that should make for good laughs if we had a show about Baba’s life.
Remember when he dramatically tore his PDP membership card? That should make for a very funny scene.
“And OBJ tried to dab! Starring: @theonlychigul @layoleoyatogun and BABA himself plus ME! Stil at the “Ethan & Harriet” launch at the Oriental Hotel,” -@denrele_edun
Lai mohammed
Might not be easy to spot the clown in this APC chieftain but Kolapo Oladapo already made an album art from the soundtrack that should go with the show so this should be easy.
Rochas Okorocha
We definitely want to his journey to heaven and back re-enacted on the big screen.
Rotimi Amaechi
What kind of list will this be if we didn’t have Minister of Transport, Amaechi on it? So many plots that can work here but a constant theme that will keep us laughing has to be all his fashion-statement-gone-wrong costumes.
And finally,
Fayose
For this alone, I will watch the show.
