Ahead of voting in Saturday’s Kogi governorship election, soldiers have reportedly ‘locked down’ Dekina LGA, in the state, newspapers on ground report.
The reports infer that the council has been on guard by soldiers, since 5:00 am, and neither party agents nor voters are able to move around.
Meanwhile, Punch reports that some INEC result sheets have allegedly gone missing in the polling unit at Ajetachi.
Kogi indigenes will elect a new governor today, and although there over 20 candidates in the pool, only two are in the frontline of the race.
Audu Abubakar, candidate of the All Progressives Congress, attempts to unseat incumbent governor, Idris Wada of the Peoples Democratic Party, who’s seeking a second term in office.
