Dapper Music Boss challenges artists to forensic audit over allegations

Damilola ‘Dapper’ Akinwunmi, CEO of Dapper Music, has denied allegations of contractual violations and financial impropriety made by former signees T.I Blaze, Seyi Vibez and Shallipopi, urging all parties to let legal processes establish the facts.
In posts on X, Akinwunmi said he had nothing to hide and challenged his accusers to submit the company’s records to an independent forensic audit. He also accused his critics of spreading misleading claims online and questioned Shallipopi’s account of their contractual dealings.
Akinwunmi invited the artistes to choose any reputable auditing or law firm to review his company’s accounts and contracts. His response followed allegations that the label licensed intellectual property without consent, withheld royalties and breached contractual agreements.
Kwankwaso explains Peter Obi alliance and declares Kano rivals ‘finished’

Former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso has said his decision to run as Peter Obi’s vice-presidential candidate in the 2027 election was driven by national interest, equity and the need for political change.
Speaking during a News Agency of Nigeria interview in Abuja, Kwankwaso said his experience during the 2023 election helped him understand Obi better and convinced him they could work together for the country. He added that the alliance would also allow the South to retain the presidency after former President Muhammadu Buhari’s eight-year tenure.
Kwankwaso also claimed that former Kano governors Ibrahim Shekarau and Abdullahi Ganduje, alongside incumbent Governor Abba Yusuf, had lost their political relevance in the state. He made the comment while discussing former members of his political camp who later fell out with him.
El-Rufai sues ICPC for ₦10bn over alleged denial of family access

Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir el-Rufai has filed a ₦10 billion lawsuit against the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), accusing the agency of denying his wife and son access to him while in custody.
Through his lawyer, Ubong Akpan, El-Rufai filed the suit at the Federal High Court in Abuja and joined ICPC Chairman Musa Aliyu and Attorney-General of the Federation Lateef Fagbemi as defendants. He alleged that officers repeatedly prevented his wife, Aichatou Asabe, and son, Abba, from visiting him or bringing food, medication, and other necessities.
El-Rufai argued that the alleged restrictions violated his constitutional rights to dignity and family life. He is asking the court to order the ICPC to grant him “unhindered and reasonable access” to his family and legal counsel throughout his detention, in line with an earlier court order.
Omah Lay says he has given up on trying to quit smoking

Omah Lay has previously made headlines for describing himself as Nigeria’s best artiste of the past 20 years and calling himself the “greatest Afrobeats artiste of the decade”.
