Senate President, Bukola Saraki has said he does not have the powers to reverse the suspension of former majority leader of the senate, Ali Ndume.
Ndume was suspended last week after calling for investigations into allegations against senate president, Bukola Saraki and Dino Melaye.
While speaking with State House correspondents after a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari, Saraki said he wished he had the powers.
“I wish I have such powers,” Saraki said.
He said he was just one out of lots of lawmakers in the Senate.
Saraki added that all he can do is to report to the Senate what he discussed with the Borno governor and allow the Senators to take a decision.
Recall that Borno state governor, Kashim Shettima and some Northern leaders had met Saraki over Ndume’s suspension.
