A new poll conducted by the left-leaning Public Policy polling has revealed that just 24 percent of voters support the Graham-Cassidy ObamaCare repeal bill, while 50 percent disapproved.
The approval rating is on the heels of the new GOP senators effort, to roll back the existing healthcare policy and pass a new bill at the floor of the Senate next week.
The bill which is sponsored by Republican Sens. Lindsey Graham (S.C.) and Bill Cassidy (La.) will convert ObamaCare’s insurer subsidies and Medicaid expansion funds to block grants for States, thereby affording them discretion over the program
An additional 46 percent of voters said they might not vote for a member of Congress who votes for Graham-Cassidy, while 23 percent would be more likely.
Seventy-seven percent said they related with late-night host Jimmy Kimmel’s criticism of the proposed new healthcare bill.
68 percent of voters said lawmakers should wait to get Congressional Budget Office analysis of the measure’s effect on premiums and the number of people covered, but 21 percent said they should vote anyway.
The latest effort gain higher approval ratings than the July failed GOP ObamaCare repeal bill, which got just 12 percent approval in a USA Today/Suffolk University poll in June.
