The Federal Government has reacted to the controversy triggered by Conditional Cash Transfer scheme which is currently ongoing in some states across the country. Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Sadiya Farouq who addressed claims of two members of a family being paid N20,000 each recently, said it was highly impossible for such to happen.
Speaking at the Presidential Task Force briefing on COVID-19 yesterday, Sadiya said members of same family cannot receive money more than once.

Kaduna discharges five COVID-19 patients, discovers three new cases
The Kaduna state government this morning announced it has dischrgaed its fifth COVID-19 patient just as it recorded three new cases of the ravaging viral disease.
A statement released by the state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Amina Baloni, states that the three new cases of Covid-19 all had recent travel history. One of the new cases is a 23 year old man who came into the state in March from Instabul via Dubai.
The two remaining cases recently travelled to the state from Kano. She appealed to people to stop travelling and stay in their homes so as to stop the Community transmission being witnessed.
FG postpones 2020 WAEC/NECO exams indefinitely
The Nigerian Government has announced that this year’s Senior School Certificate Examination organised by the West African Examinations Council and National Examinations Council will be postponed due to coronavirus outbreak.
According to Emeka Nwajubu, Minister of State for Education, government has made provisions for students to learn online. He said, “WAEC and NECO for the year have been postponed indefinitely.
The management of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has assured Corps members that it will pay the allowances for March and April despite the fact that the monthly clearance exercise will not be done due to the corovarinus pandemic lockdown in many states.
Director-General, Brigadier-General Shuaibu Ibrahim, gave the assurance through the Director of Public Affairs, Mrs. Adenike Adeyemi.
