A world record! Chidera ‘Chiddy’ Anamege freestyles his way to global recognition

by Taiwo Damilola

After freestyle rapping for 9 hours, 18 minutes and 22 seconds at MTV’s inaugural O Music Awards in Las Vegas, Chidera ‘Chiddy’ Anamege broke the Guinness World Record for the longest rap in history. Barely skipping a beat after being informed, live and on camera, by an official representative that he had broken the world record, Chiddy continued to rap until the O Music Awards itself wrapped up a few minutes later. To earn the record he had to keep rapping even during the two bathroom breaks he took, beating the previous record holder, Indianapolis emcee ‘M-Eighty’, and earning himself a place in the Guiness Book of World Records for Longest Freestyle and Longest Continuous Rap. Kudos!
