Nollywood Veteran Actor, Francis Duru, Has Passed Away
Nigerian veteran actor, and 2007 United Nations Ambassador of Peace award winner, Francis Duru has died at the age of 57.
The actor was said to have had a brief illness before his death. The news of his demise was confirmed by the National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Alhaji Abubakar Sanusi Yakubu, who broke the news on social media to express grief. His death has since received condolences and sympathy from his colleagues in the industry.
Nigeria’s First Recorded Ebola Patient Shows Signs of Recovery
The Federal Ministry of Health has confirmed that Nigeria’s first recorded Ebola patient this year is showing signs of recovery.
In an update shared by the ministry on X (Formerly Twitter) the health ministry confirmed that it had been monitoring the ongoing effects to not only strengthen health facilities in the country on Ebola, to help coordinate a quick national response.
The ministry also shared that there was presently no evidence of community transmission from the first recorded victim, and encouraged Nigerians to follow recommended precautions and guidelines put out by verified health authorities.

Afrobeats singer, Zlatan has tied the knot with his partner of 10 years, and mother of his two children.
The singer first announced his marital plans in July 2026, in a video where he seemingly invited his industry peers to the wedding celebration.
The duo who have reportedly known each other for 8 years, after meeting in London before Zlatan’s climb to fame, tied the knot traditionally with Zlatan‘s industry colleagues like Lil Kesh, Davido, Young Jonn and many others in attendance.
Regina Daniels Allegedly Cuts Off Family, Takes Support From Estranged Husband
Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has allegedly cut off contact with her family amidst the detox process. The actress who has been in the news since a public split from her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, and most recently since sharing her struggles with health during her birthday celebration is once again facing public scrutiny.
According to reports, Regina’s ex-husband has been instrumental in assisting her with overcoming her alleged drug addiction which he has claimed caused their marital split. Although the two are not back together, the Senator has been dedicated to aiding her with her health, despite her decision to cut off other familial support.
Blessing CEO Released From Jail, Denies Drug Use Allegations
Months after her arrest for scamming Nigerians of millions over a falsified cancer diagnosis, social media creator and controversial relationship expert, Blessing CEO has been released from jail.
Following her release, she took to social media to respond to allegations of drug use that spread across the internet during her time in prison, denying all claims. During an Instagram live, over the weekend, she dismissed the allegations stating that she does not smoke, drink or engage in partying.
