Ajimobi swears in new HOS, 18 permanent secretaries

Oyo State governor, Abiola Ajimobi on Tuesday swore in new Head of Service (HOS) Soji Eniade and 18 permanent secretaries among who is the wife of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senator from the state, Alolade Agboola as well as a new accountant-general, Oludele Oyadeyi.

The ceremony was witnessed by the PDP senator representing Oyo North, Hosea Agboola, who is currently the deputy chief whip at the Senate, and a former commissioner during the administration of former governor of the state, Adebayo Alao-Akala.

Ajimobi said that his administration would continue to reward competence and professionalism in the state civil service without political or religious bias.

He also said that his administration would continue to place emphasis on merit above sentiments, adding that for an individual to be appointed as a permanent secretary such person must have the requisite professionalism and integrity.

He expressed confidence in the ability of the newly-appointed permanent secretaries, stressing that competence, diligence and integrity were the major considerations for their appointment.
