A few days ago I saw shocking pictures of UNILAG students running through the drainage/canals to escape the terror that was unleashed on them by anti-riot policemen acting under the instructions of the school authority to forcefully shut down the campus.

As a young man and citizen of a country that has repeatedly offered the short end of the stick to its youth, I felt that it’s important that we begin to speak about these issues.

In this episode of Akah Bants, I do just that with the help of my friend Sophie – a UNILAG undergraduate who helps us understand some of the issues that led to this unfortunate situation.
