The Croosover King, Alariwo of Afrika was reportedly shot by men suspected to be armed robbers in Ibadan, Oyo State on Monday, July 14, 2014.

According to the singer, he was in the company of Kenny Aiyeola, the founder of Castle Orphanage when the unfortunate incident happened. He, however, did not go further to give details of what actually went down.

Alariwo of Afrika released his first album in 1998 with hit track titled Yawa go gas. His second album was in 2002 titled Boju Boju Friends.
