Kola Aluko, Diezani’s stooge to be probed, extradited

UK requests for Kola Aluko's extradition from Switzerland over links with Diezani Alison-Madueke | YNaija.com

Oil baron, Kola Aluko, who’s one of the collaborators of former Minister of Petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke, may soon be extradited from Switzerland to the United Kingdom.

Alison-Madueke, who was arrested in the UK last week for alleged bribery and money laundering, is believed to have carried out many shady dealings with Aluko.

The Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland, revealed to Punch Newspapers on Wednesday, that the UK had requested for mutual legal assistance on Aluko’s case.

When queried by Punch if it had received extradition request from the UK on Aluko,  Nathalie Guth from the Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland, responded saying: “I refer to your request of today and we can confirm that the Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland (OAG) has received a request for mutual legal assistance from England in this context.”

Spokesperson for the UK High Commission in Abuja, Joe Abuku, in response to a similar request, said: “I can’t give any information on the extradition issue because the official that would brief me is out of town and cannot be reached on the phone, but I will try and get him tomorrow.”

It is however, believed that the probe of Diezani and the massive involvement of Aluko, will ultimately lead to his extradition from Switzerland to the United Kingdom.
