Sana Saida, whose name means ‘happy new year’ in Arabic, is a two-headed calf that was born in Morocco.
A strange looking calf has been born in the country of Morocco, with two heads no less.
The New Year heralded the birth of the animal which was named “Sana Saida” in accordance with its birth. “Sana Saida” is Arabic for “Happy New year”
The young cow was born in Sefrou, a remote town in a central part of the North African country.
Locals are flocking to see the calf, reported the International Business Times.
The animal can eat from both mouths and is healthy.
It is thought that the calf was born with a condition called polycephaly. This is more commonly found in turtles and snakes.
The calf was supposed to be a twin, but the eggs did not separate as they should have, reported the IBT.
Although the case is unusual, it is not unique. A two-headed cow was also born in Georgia in 2011.
