In line with our major feature for this week, centered around marital bliss (so that, in these days of the Humphries and the Kadarshians, you can still believe), YNaija puts the spotlight on Nigerian musician Obiora Obiwon Agu who tied the knot with long time lover Nkechi Obioma Ezeife, on Saturday, 22 October 2011. Thanks to NaMyWedding.com, we present to you everything from the love story to the photo gallery and also a guestbook for visitors, to send your best wishes to the couple.
“I saw Nkechi from a distance and decided I wouldn’t ask anyone else but her. She took me to the groom and it happened that the bride was her sister. She went away but after my exchanges with the groom, I was still curious and asked that he call her back so I could thank her. The groom sensing something else walked away when she came. We exchanged pleasantries and I crammed her phone number, so that no one would see us exchanging digits. 3 days later I told her I wanted to marry her and that I wanted us to get to know each other better as a result.
“She had me wait four years but I finally did a formal proposal with an engagement ring in April this year.”
– The groom, Obiwon teling NaMyWedding how he met the love of his life.
YNaija spoke to him yesterday, and the singer of love songs Onyinye and Obi‘m O is still head over heels: “After salvation, the next greatest thing that can happen to a man is to find a woman truly after his heart,in any condition or situation in life.I’m grateful to the Creator of love for blessing me hugely with this true gift of love.”
See photos from the beautiful wedding below. May it last!
