The news comes as a bit of a shock given that Brown and Gordon announced their supposed marriage themselves via Twitter in January 2014. At the time, she posted a photo of their hands with what appeared to be wedding bands, along with the caption “@nickgordon! #HappilyMarried SO #InLove. If you didn’t get it the first time that is.”
The relationship between Gordon and Brown has had its fair share of ups and downs, as US Weekly reports. Rumors have circulated that there has been some tension between her family and Gordon since she was found unresponsive on Jan. 31. But for now, the most important thing the family remains focused on is the health and recovery of Brown.
“We continue to request privacy in this matter,” said her father in a statement. “Please allow for our family to deal with this matter and give Bobbi Kristina the love and support she needs at this time.”
